For the collaborative work me and my partner went for the 14 to 29 age group since that age group is the main one that stays on their phones indoors and avoids going outside. After deciding on the age group, we had a detailed discussion of what will be the most effective way to promote and encourage going out more to said target audience. We discussed potential phases that can be put on the posters and different key words.

Afterwards we both made our own mouldboard that inspired us for our future designs, my inspiration were bold letters, illustrations, no imagery used and making the point clear without making the design busy to make sure nothing takes away from the message of the design.

Before going on to make the actual posters, we both also did mood boards with colours, typography and icons/elements each of us was going to use in our designs, I focused once again on a clear message with simple colours that aren’t bold and in your face.

Finally, I did two different experiments in Illustrator and Photoshop, inspired by the mouldboard that was done previously, as well as trying out the opposite approach to see how it would look next to each other, one focusing only on illustration while the other solely on typography. The first one is in Photoshop and it only focuses on typography, using only type to create a chaotic, busy looking poster that uses phases and words to encourage people to go out more, distorting the type to create a more dynamic alive feel to the design, also using more vibrant colours to bring out the words to the black background. The second experiment was in Illustrator, and it is the opposite of the first one, not using any typography, relaying on illustrations to portray the message to the audiences.
